Catherine surgery was rescheduled
Yesterday I took the day off from work and I was supposed to stay with the kids at home in the morning and in the afternoon they would go to daycare . Catherine class was going to the movies, and for the first time in many, many months I would have the afternoon for myself. I had everything planned: blogging to-write-list, email management, a complete schedule for all the tasks I have to do regarding blogging.
Well, I received some good news in the morning that ruined my entire afternoon, but good news are always good news.
Catherine surgery was rescheduled for January 8th, next Tuesday. After all that happened with her previous surgery schedule I am a little afraid. Why, because she has a nasal congestion and some yellowish mucus. So, this afternoon I spoke with her otorrino to let him know that. He advised me to see the family doctor and ask for an antibiotic. The surgery is in 6 days, meaning we have 5 days to treat her. I went to the clinic to see the doctor and he assured me that she’s going to be fine for the surgery. She’s already taking an antibiotic, an antihistamine and a spray to reduce the swollen adenoid.
She has nothing serious and this all wouldn’t be needed if it wasn’t the surgery. The yellowish mucus must disappeared in five days. Although the doctor was really certain that she will be fine on the surgery day, well, with the bad luck of 2007 I’m doubtful. Maybe the bad luck is no longer with us in 2008.

It sounds like you’ve done everything you can do to ensure she can have the surgery. Now you just have to sit back and wait for the antibiotics to do their job. Hopefully 2008 will be a good year for all of us.
I’m not sure what type of surgery your dd will have but the same thing happened with our dd. We had oral surgery planned for the day after Christmas and due to a cough (she was done with her antibiotics) the doctor postponed her surgery. It’s tomorrow though. Please pray for her.
I pray that all will go smoothly for your dd’s surgery and that it’s not too long of a wait for you.

Yes, I’m giving all medications at the right time so hopefully she will be fine next Tuesday. 2008 for sure will bring us some good stuff.
Thanks Connie.
My daughter is having her tonsils and adenoids removed because they are too big and she has difficulty breathing during her sleep (sleeping apnea).
Your daughter are in my thoughts and I hope to receive news from you soon regarding her surgery.
She did well. I posted about it on my other blog – Brain Foggles

My dd may need her tonsils and adenoids out too. She’s being seen by an allergist and after testing he’ll decide what to do. She snores too and may have sleep apnea. She’s never been tested for that.
