Monday night we had dinner earlier than usual and my kids and I went to the living room and watched the movie The Spiderwick Chronicles.

I had seen the trailer and it seemed to me a Harry Potter style movie, both with kids, dark scenes and monsters. I was afraid that my kids were a little scared but they really enjoyed the movie.

The story is based on the books written by Tony DiTerllizi and Holly Black entitled The Spiderwick Chronicles (Boxed Set).

This movie tells the story of a family that is going through a recent divorce, the mother moves with her twin sons and one daughter to an isolated old family house in the middle of nowhere. Strange sounds and a curious and secret book are the trigger to an exciting fantastic movie. Goblins, fantastic creatures, fairies, ogres and a magic shield that protects the house come next. The secret book is the main cause of this family fantastic happenings.

My kids loved it and I even cried at the end, of happiness of course!!
