My daughter is testing my limits

29 May 2009 One Comment

My daughter is testing my limits. She’s stubborn and does not accept a “no” for an answer, she has to make what she wants no matter what I say. This situation is getting out of my control so I decided it’s time to control it.

Yesterday she made a tantrum when I left her at school. She wanted me to let her go alone from the street to the classroom but that is not allowed and she’s only five and she can’t walk alone. Well, she says she’s grown up enough to go alone so yesterday she refused to enter school with me so I had to carry her inside while she was hitting and kicking me. It was a awful scene so I decided to do something about it.

One of the things she loves doing is arrive home at the end of the afternoon and play with a neighbor girl of the same age. So yesterday she was not authorized to go. She was really upset but I think she understood how things are going to work from now on.
