Baby Lettuces

May 1st was a holiday, besides the usual clean up and laundry there wasn’t much to be done at home.

Saturday: I bought a big bag of organic compost, moved the lettuces to new flower beds and cleaned up a bit the garden. In the afternoon we went to a Popular Fair in a nearby city, the kids had a lot of fun although for them fun is spending all the money available in carrousel’s, ice creams and sweets. I’m always telling them that I don’t want them to take diet pills when they are older so we have to cut on sweets.

Sunday: Mother’s Day in Portugal. I had a terrific wake up. Details in a separate post. Nap for me in the afternoon, I was really exhausted. Bunch of flowers to my mother and mother in law.
