Laura, thanks for posting the information on Helen Neville's so very valuable book, and on Linda Budd's guide to the overly intense child. Helen has incorporated information on temperament in her "Is This a Phase? Child Development & Parent Strategies, Birth to 6 Years," and in her recently published revision to "Mommy! I Have to Go Potty!" When my kids were being toilet-trained, I certainly didn't think about how their temperaments affected the pace of the training process! BTW, Parenting Press's monthly, News for Parents, www.parentingpress.com/ezine.html, is running articles on RRRRRR this year: resolve to recycle, reuse, repurpose, repair. It's free and advertising-free.
