One day she had a very bad cut on her thumb with a bandage and she couldn't suck her thumb so from that night on she just stopped. Just leave her be and she'll stop on her own! I haven't dealt with this with any of my own children, but I was a finger sucker myself. I was seven and a half before I stopped. What finally made me quit was going to a slumber party and not wanting the other girls to see my suck my finger. I had to start sleeping with my hands under my pillow or I would start to suck during sleep. I wish I had some suggestion to offer to help her to stop. Hi, Laura!
