I’m not rich but I can provide my kids with a house, food on the table every day, clothes, education, as well as other basic services and products. There are children who don’t have that, and they need to be helped for them to have basic things like milk or a school.

We all know that Rwanda is a beautiful but troubled country. Some children there need to walk several miles through dangerous paths to attend school. Most of them don’t have proper food and education.

Through the ActionAid’s child sponsorship program it was possible to change the life of some children and even entire communities. Actor Jimi Mistry which has already sponsored a child for several years recently visited a newly built school in Rwanda. Originally, this school location was on the top of a mountain making it complicated for children to get there. Thanks to ActionAid’s child sponsorship program, it was possible to build a school down the hill, with easy access. They also got two cows, which stay near the school, to provide fresh milk to the children.

Jimi Mistry, having a child of his own, was really impressed with the work done by ActionAid and how it had a huge impact in that community, specially the children. Here is a video about his visit.

It is very important that ActionAid continues the good work but to accomplish that it is necessary that people keep sponsoring children. For just 50p a day it is possible to make the difference and help children from developing countries.
