Update on my Niche Site

It has been two months since I last wrote an updated about my niche site.

My niche site is still a PR0 but know with an Alexa Rank of around 640.000.

I have decreased the number of posts that I publish and I’m changing a little my technique. I’m going to write specific articles with certain keywords, get articles published in articles directories in order to get a large number of backlinks. With this technique I will, hopefully, increase the site exposure and get ranked in the search engines.

I’m investing some money in software to automatize the process and reduce my time doing time consuming tasks.

Just to say…

These last days, almost two weeks, I have been more relaxed and at easy with my life.

I finally realized that it is not easy to make fast money online. I run several blogs but income is decreasing and no matter what I do I can’t increase it. I have a fan page, I keep regular posts but it seems the articles are not interested enough for people to engage.

I know that a great topic that will for sure have popularity is the “make money online” subject. The problem is that I don’t feel comfortable writing about it when there is already so many people doing that so well.

I will continue to write on my blogs regularly and I really won’t be expecting a lot of income. I will do it for pleasure instead of due to a income search. Of course, if opportunities pop up I will take them but I won’t be really upset as I have been in the past, if I don’t earn the expected money.

I’m kind of tired of looking at my adsense account every day and a big fat zero is waiting for me. I have to let go and take it easy. The future will tell if I will have a good income online or not. Let’s wait a little longer.

Update on My New Niche Site

It has been almost a month since I last updated about my new niche site. It has now an Alexa of 1.030.000 which has been a quite good evolution.

New content is being published three times a week but so far it has only made a very very small amount of money, meaning $0,78. Yes, don’t laugh, 78 cents.

No clickbank sells, no affiliate income, just the 78 cents from adsense.

I spent some money buying content for a contractor at Odesk and I don’t feel I want to spend more money without watching better results. However I feel that I must publish fresh content to keep readers engaged.

Update On my Life: Laking Motivation Right Now

I’m living a dilemma.

I have the life I always dreamt with . No job, taking care of the house and of the kids.

The pressure right now: Succeed.

I always had in my mind that the life I wanted was to be a full time mother and if possible earn some income working from home. The first part was accomplished although it is a temporary situation, the last part not yet accomplished.

Having several blogs of my own I realize now that, what was possible in terms of income three years ago, it is not possible now. Sources of income have changed and some sources have simply disappeared.

Competitions is high and although people say there is space for everyone, I’m finding it hard to accomplish.

The pressure to succeed and get an income online, instead of motivating me to work harder and multiply my paths to reach the wanted objective is not motivating me.

Lack of motivation takes place due to the slow level of progress I see with my blogs. I wanted to see them move faster when it comes to Alexa and Page Rank.

I also know that things can progress slowly especially when we are not yet recognized online, but I really want to see things move faster to feel more motivated to go on.

Getting a full time job is something that hunts me in the horizon. I feel it will be the demolishing end of my journey. I feel I can’t avoid the situation in the future.

I know that if I keep thinking negatively things will not end up well but I’m having a hard time keeping those ugly thoughts away from my head.

I’m also finding difficulty to keep a certain “voice” on my blogs. Subjects vary a lot and no certain sequence exists.

Right now I lack: subject, motivation and believing.
Right now I fear: failure — but not doing enough to avoid it.

I need to believe in m dreams. I have to keep believing I can do it.

I have to stay focus on my sites, get more information to write quality posts.

I have to keep my readers engaged with interesting topics.

I want to live with less pressure to succeed but I also know that pressure can be the solution for my future.

Motivation is king here and I really need it.

The fear of a future full time job away from home should be enough but it’s not working.

Maybe I need a break from online world but that might help my motivation but not my online presence.

Priorities must be chosen and I really need to organize myself.

Update on my New Niche Site

It’s been almost two weeks that I bought the domain for my new niche site. What started with an Alexa of more than 10 millions, it is now with an Alexa of 3.300.000.

I bought my domain at Bluehost and also hosted at Bluehost. Bluehost is the webhost company that hosts all my domains and sites. Finding the right theme took me a while but I managed to find one that I like. I installed some of the necessary plugins and on October 4th I started publishing content.

Once I’m managing several blogs at the same time I decided to contact a rewriter from Odesk to do some rewriting work for me. I already several articles ready but they needed to be rewritten to be more unique and fresh.

This new niche site is going to have at least two sources of monetization: google adsense and affiliate links. I searched for affiliate programs related to the niche and ended up subscribing to two programs besides Amazon.

Fresh content is going to be king and I hope to increase the readership from Facebook page and twitter in a short period of time.

Regarding Facebook, I built a Facebook add in order to get the site public and out there.

I will update the progress in about two weeks.

I’m Starting a New Niche Site

Here I am again struggling with my online income.

I’m really ready to start earning income now that I’m full time at home. Although I have a niche site for two years I earned little money with it so now, although I’m going to continue to publish content there, I decided to create a new niche site.

The worse part for me is niche selection and keyword search. I’ve seem many videos and attended webinars about the subject but I still find it a difficult task to accomplish. But, finally, I decided which is the niche and I hope that it gains many readers.

Although I don’t have a domain yet, I’m already preparing some content for it, the basics.

In a month I will report my progressing and my gains if any.

Do you have niche sites? How are they going when it comes to income?

Wondering If I can Make Passive Income or Not

My kids are back to school full time now and I’m home alone.

My dream to be a work at home mother still persists but it turns out to be really hard. Now that I have several hours a day to dedicate to my blogs I feel it will be very difficult to make a living out of my blogs.

I follow people with influence like Lynn Terry, Pat Flynn and Darren Rowse that are doing well in life. I watch webinars, podcasts, I read blueprints, reports, ebooks but I just can’t reach the point where I can say that I’m succeeding.

I have a niche blog for two years now where I have been posting on and off. It never reached a PR1, I get no comments, google adsense is null. I don’t know if I should give it up and move to another niche or if with continuing writing I can get some results.

I see Pat Flynn earning so much money with adsense and for me, if I earn 5$ a month, it is a victory.

I might seem pathetic but it is how I feel now. I really want to avoid a full time job away from home where I will only see my kids for a couple of hours a day but I’m feeling hopeless right now.

I try to watch Abraham Hicks videos, to read inspiring articles to keep the flame alive. I really want to make this work I just don’t know how. I have so much information available, all the tips are there, the process, it just seems that it doesn’t work for me. At least now.

What are your thoughts? Was it hard to make money out of your blogs? Should I get more niche sites?

I’ve been quite busy thinking and trying to figure out how the internet guru’s make money online. I spend a lot of time reading blueprints, reports, watching videos and guess what: I end up always with the same information and no blog posts written.

There are a a few blogs I always ready, some Facebook friends and pages I consider a “must follow”; I always attend the Sue and Steve Monday webinar (they Rock!!!), which is live at a decent time for me; I’m following the Unstrapp’d Reality Show videos and I always learn something new. It’s great.

I’m still looking for what I have to choose to get a “online life”. It seems so easy when we hear other people talking but them getting to the practice part it’s a little bit difficult. Maybe it’s just me. Being jobless gives me plenty of time to figure out and develop “something” but I feel I’m stuck.

I know I’ve been away from this blog and I’m really sad about it. I was supposed to write here my daily life, my kids, parenting issues and lately things seems so boring although a lot of stuff has been going on. I don’t want to whine anymore about my life so I just decided to shut up and not write.

Bad stuff:

latest bosses didn’t pay what they own me
my son don’t like to study and grades are not what they should be

Good Stuff:

enjoying being a full time mom
enjoying being online all day and write and network with other bloggers
created a blog on my mother language
opened a Facebook account for my real friends and family

I will keep this blog updated from now on, I promise.
